THEY ARE BACK

Shelton, Connecticut

The blur you see is All-League Defensive Lineman Richie LaFontaine preparing for the 2008 season. The Giants started their mini-camp this week.

If you heard a lot of loud rumbling this week you have nothing to fear. It was the start of the Connecticut Giants Voluntary Mini-Camp. Over 30 rookies and returning players arrived to start their quest for a third-straight undefeated season.  “2007 is behind us now, we have a lot of work to do,” said Courtney Sutherland, “it all starts here at BAD.”

BAD, Better Athletic Development, is the official training facility of the Giants. Over the past 2 seasons the Giants have posted a 26-0 league record and have become better conditioned than their opponents. BAD’s owner, Kevin Gendron, also works as the Giants Strength and Conditioning coach and directs the mini-camp and combines out of his facility.  “We had a great turnout for the first day,” said Gendron, “nobody quit, that’s the most important part.

The Giants mini-camp is open to all prospective players. For more information contact Coach Gendron at 203-924-2230.
