Connecticut Giants Press Release May 3, 2008
Snowden’s (3) play has given the Surge the best record in the division
Snowden Surge in New England
WORCESTER, MA. – Sir Snowden is making himself known to the New England Surge faithful and opponents throughout the league.
Snowden and the Surge currently have the best record in the CIFL’s Eastern Division. “We’re playing with a lot of energy,” stated Snowden. “As a defense, our attitude is to take the offense out of what they do well and make adjustments when needed.” As the team’s starting free safety, Snowden is averaging 4 tackles per game with the occasional big play sprinkled in. Over the last three games he has collected two interceptions; one returned for a score and a fumble recovery where he dashed the length of the field for a touchdown to secure a Surge victory.
Snowden is a proven winner as a professional. Over a two-year period with the Connecticut Giants, and the 2007 season with the AF2 Wilkes-Barre Scranton Pioneers, he has not lost a regular season contest. With Snowden, the Surge are off to the fastest start in franchise history.
