Connecticut Giants Press Release May 3, 2008
Snowden shows his escape ability at last year’s CT Blue Jamboree
Snowden Ready for Year Two
Milford, CT.- The team starts to collect for the first day of voluntary mini-camp. As unproven rookies and role players find their way into the locker room, they see Rich Snowden on a treadmill jogging in a sweat soaked t-shirt.
Last season’s most decorated Connecticut Giant is working as if he’s trying to secure a position on the team. “I have the same approach as last year in a lot of ways,” said Snowden. “I feel I always have to prove myself - this season is no different.”
The 2007 EFA’s Rookie of the Year and League MVP is very excited about his supporting cast this season. The accusation of SCSU’s Shawn Harris to the already buffed backfield of PerQuan Moore and DeVon Brown may be one of the best groups in the country. Impact receivers Jason Davis and Naciki Reid are both healthy and in camp early. Veteran Keith Welch has returned to the Giants and looks to solidify the offensive line at guard. “We expect big things from Rich, this being his second year in our system.” says Davis.
The Giants will be hosting their 3rd. Annual CT BLUE Jamboree on July 14th at Jonathan Law Stadium. This will be the first time to see the 2008 Giants as they take on the Connecticut Bearcats, Hudson Valley Cowboys, and Brooklyn Seminoles.
